I have been unable to find proof of who Martha's parents were. Because Martha and Thompson McKissack are enumerated right next to Abel Burch (with Archibald and James Burch families following), and knowing they all migrated to Gordon Co., Ga from Person Co., NC, I have concluded that they are all siblings. They could of course simply be first or second cousins. Anyone who can help in sorting out the Burch family of Person Co., NC, please let me know.
