Cole, **Samuel Larsh

According to his grandson, Samuel Larsh Cole, this Samuel helped to build the Hog Creek Church. He said it was made from logs and they left the stumps when they cleared the ground. Then they built the church around the stumps and used them for seats. According to the 1877 Grant County Atlas this church was the second one in the township and would have been built about 1836-37.
